Chelsea signs Anelka

Chelsea, a European soccer club, has signed Nicolas Anelka from Bolton for $29.4 million dollars. Anelka is a French striker who is coming in to replace Didier Drogba, their leading scorer, who will be away for a month while he plays in the African Cup of Nations. With Drogba gone and Andriy Shevchenko injured, Chelsea was in need of some offensive help for the Premier and Champians League. Do you think they should have signed Nicolas Anelka? Or should have Bolton sold him?

Tree Taken Down Because of One Complaint

At Missouri State Universtity, last Monday, a 20-foot tree taken down because of one complaint by a facualty member who was Jewish. She complained that it was insenstive of other religions. I think that was just stupid. Just becasuse you put a tree up in a lobby doesn't mean it is trying to insult your religion or views. Administrators later decided yesterday to put the tree back up but along with other religious symbols. Ok, that's alright, but does it really matter that much. I mean, if you want to put a tree up in a lobby, then you should be able to without having to make up for it to other people. http://www.ky3.com/news/local/11913886.html
